You will also be able to use your previous experience to ensure the people agenda is aligned to business objectives, supporting the College to attract, develop, retain and engage a talented and inclusive workforce. Your knowledge of up to date employment law and HR best practice, along with experience in managing a diverse range of employee relations issues, will be key in supporting development of the HR team and wider College group.

Business Administration Apprentice

Hours: 37 Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm (one hour lunch break) Fixed Term Contract for 15 months Salary: £8659.00 per annum (Apprentice Rate) Based at our Coalville Campus The SMB Group is a highly successful FE college, formed through the merger of Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the College for an Apprentice in Business Administration to join the team based in Coalville. Working in this role you will, • Provide a full range of administrative support to the Sales and Distance Learning Teams • Handle incoming telephone calls, ensuring that actions are taken, and messages passed on effectively and in a timely manner • Manage incoming mail, including e-mails as appropriate, ensuring that priority items are flagged with the individuals concerned • Photocopy, print and collate a range of documents and materials • Check and process enrolments, both paper and electronic • Receive visitors and ensure they are looked after as appropriate and provide support to College events • Utilise and access College systems to provide information as required • Type reports and other documents, as appropriate • To raise purchase orders and liaise with Finance as appropriate • Take minutes of meetings, as appropriate • Liaise with other areas of the College to access services, as required • Utilise Microsoft Office software (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams) to support the teams • Obtain external company information as required and maintain the CRM system • Project manage templates and guides to ensure they are effective and fit for purpose In return, you can expect the opportunity to work with an organisation that is committed to the ongoing development of its people.
